A house remembers every car that has ever come up its drive. This one was about to meet something it had never had to remember before. The first car Roger arrives the way he arrives everywhere — hand up before the car’s fully stopped, coat already open to the rain like weather is something he’s…

Character Spotlight – The Memory Cartographer / Zavet / Azad: Finnish Fury, Baltic Banshee, and the Name Nobody Guessed
Mpho crosses to me, puts both hands on my shoulders, looks me dead in the eyes. “Dlozi lakho liyavuka. Vula, Sandi. Vula.” Your ancestor is rising. Open yourself. Open.
“I’m not—” My voice cracks. “I’m not built for this. I’m a field agent. I extract assets. I don’t—”
“You are,” Mpho insists. “You’ve been carrying her your whole life. Karelian songs in your mouth, winter in your blood. You think that’s accident?”
The daughters pick up the melody — shouldn’t be possible, they don’t speak Finnish, but their voices weave in anyway, Zulu harmonics braiding with Karelian cadence. Mpho’s alto grounds it. Kendra’s treble spirals up like smoke.
The baby stops humming. Starts laughing, delighted, three months old and knowing.
Character Spotlight – Tarmo Amellal: Empire, Rebirth, and the Problem of Fatherhood
Elena.
I have to think her name twice before it comes into focus. The last time I saw her—did I? At the lake? Before the lake? Everything from that day comes back in splinters.
Odin thinks she is dead. Ra thinks she is moving through the dark in ways I cannot yet see.
I think I don’t know enough. Neither god has an answer for that one. There’s a reason it’s the one thing they agree to disagree on.
Character Spotlight: Asdar the Dacian Shapeshifter from the Apuseni Mountains. Azad – Quantum Jump.

Azad – Quantum Jump: Dark Goddess Birth, Giants, and the First Megalith Circle
One of them speaks. The language is pre-linguistic, more vibration than words, but Rhea understands it the way bone understands gravity.
“Fee-fi-fo-fum.” Old magic, even here. A nursery rhyme that won’t be written for ten thousand years, already encoded in their DNA. “I smell the blood of a god-born one.”
Rhea laughs. It comes out broken, half-sob, but it’s still a laugh.
She spreads her arms — blood on her hands, the stones pulsing brighter behind her.
“So,” she says, voice raw and terrible and utterly, devastatingly Elena. “Who wants to get pounded on the head with a stone?”
An Archangel’s Slow Burn for the Woman He Was Sent to Guard – The Complete Mikhail and Elena Timeline
Some men declare themselves. Mikhail never did. His job and dedication kept him in place – in Zurich, in St. Petersburg, on a mountainside in Iran, Yerevan, at the edge of a lake with a python god in it – until “his place” stopped being a task and started being an emotion. The Man Who…
Irkutsk, Odin, Rha a Siberian Hotel – Azad – Quantum Jump
“I am Rha. I do not betray the light.” Field Notes: Twelve Hours Some chapters are about magic interfering. This one is about a man trying to interfere, in a hostel room in Irkutsk, with a bottle he keeps picking up and putting back down. Reclaiming What’s His Three months gone — presumed dead by…
Samhain, The Cat Stone, Uisneach – Across Time Veil. Azad – Quantum Jump
“In this world of illusions, you only see what you feel.” Field Notes: What the Fire Remembers There’s a particular kind of vertigo that comes from writing two characters who are looking at each other across four thousand years and neither of them quite knowing it. That’s where this week’s pages live — one foot…
From Midlands to Hackney – Asdar’s Ink, Azad Book VI
The pure heart shall sing when dying. Field notes have been hugging the spotlight lately while I’ve been editing – so here’s an excerpt from today’s chapter instead. Promise I won’t go all anthropologist on you. This one’s Asdar. London. A red Volvo with a cracked headlight, a lockup in Walthamstow, cash counted without looking…
Zavet, Azad, and Everything Before Them
“From a daily-chapter shorthand called COMC to Zavet and Azad — how a memoir tangled with fiction became a saga built on covenant and freedom.”
