I will say this once and not again: I have protected many people across many centuries. I have done it from duty, from instruction, from the logic of my function. This is the first time I have done it from something that does not have a name in any of the operational languages I was trained in, and that I have decided, in the absence of better terminology, to simply call what it is.
She does not know. She will not know, not from this document. When she is ready to know, it will not be because she read it here.
